Default best headers?

guys looking for some good headers for a car with 600+ hp. I have schnell headers but heard they cant flow this much horsepower, not sure why. I have 3.2 carrera heads and manifold with alot of extras. My previous headers, not sure what they were called are rusty and old. I need some headers quick by the end of next week but looking for something that can flow. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

At 600 hp you are probably looking at custom headers by Holcombe or Manzie.

ok heres the list

efi conversion with wideband o2
full bay intercooler
carrera intake manifold & heads
twin plugging
msd ignition
3.4 cylinder & piston upgrade
carrillo rods and arp rod bolts
tial wastegate and blow off valve
1.2 bar of boost
gt evo II cams
methanol/water injection system
regeared 4 speed transmission
schnell headers
fabspeed dual exhaust
garret gt turbo
114 leaded octane when at track

what would happen to the schnell headers if I left them on there? Im assuming the holcomb and manzie headers are custom built or do they have some around? I cant find any websites about these guys. Thanks for the input

Why wouldn't the Schnell's handle that sort of HP? The Schnell's I have, have 1-5/8" primaries, which slip nicely into the Carerra heads with flame rings. A bit bigger than the usual 930 1-1/2" primaries.

Schnells may be T304 grade, but I heard from a very reputable tuner that the 321 tends to be brittle and cracks, even though it stays prettier longer.

Sounds like my engine but with EFI.
And very similar to the engine of RobS - he's on this list.

Really rethink that honkin' 1.2 bar plan you have.........it is just too much. Track use?

Sorry, they're just roings around the header's flange, which inserts into the head when mated. It stops exhaust gas leakage and provides a better head -> exhaust seal.

0.8-1.0 is safe for track. I wouldn't exceed that on the track.

I have been interested in designing a quality header for the 930's and 965's. I developed the headers for Suncoast and Evoms that they sell for the 996/997's. My question to all is, Do you think there is a need for a better performing and quality system? Competively priced with a no bs warranty?

Joe, there's always a need for a better quality and performing aftermarket header system. The problem with the Porsche market is that there isn't enough competition, so prices are extremely high and people are paying for it cause there's nowhere else to go!

Just compare the cost of our aftermarket header systems to those for EVO's, Supra's etc...

I'm sure it's a case of supply meets demand and since there's a lot more EVO/Supra owners out there than Porsche owners, the market is saturated with aftermarket go-fast bits.

Joe,
I may be alone in this but what I'd like to see is a no BS sytem with 100% functionality, heat, and no bling. In my opinion the Porsche market is full of high gloss crap that you don't need unless you plan to show your car with mirrors underneath. I have no use for $1000 hollow polished mufflers.
