Default Stepper or Solenoid Idle Control

For you EFI guys, which system is better at handling idle on our motors? I find that my stepper motor does not do a good job when the throttle plate is closed quickly from high rpm. It's OK, but I wonder if the solenoid type is quicker and more consistent. Thx

I don't think my engine has ever seen idle. In fact I'm not sure its ever seen anything below 2000RPM after the starter gets it to fire!

The two shops that have helped me with this motor say the same - idle, what's that?

Mine idle's fine with the stepper motor.
