Default Price of a DP Slantnose Conversion on a 930?

It's an 87 930 Cabriolet.

I beleive it's a DP conversion that has been done to the car. DP wheels and the DP floormats kinda give it away.

I don't know much else about the car.

I'd like to know how much it costs for the conversion and if anyone has any idea how much the these DP wheels go for?

Thanx in advance.

Doesn't look like a DP to me. Usually wider body work and integrated front bumper cover.

Looks like a regular slant to me without the side gills in the vents. And it looks like he added the dp wheels

What's next to the pop up head lights on both sides?

What do you mean?

So, I'm guessing this isn't an original Porsche Slantnose from the factory. I figured it may be a DP conversion or something.

I know there are a few knock off Slantnoses that were not original Slantnoses. My first dilemna was figuring out if this car was an authentic Slantnose from the factory, but I think it may have been put on afterwards.

Any idea how much a Slantnose conversion such as this one costs and how much these wheels are worth?

I would NEVER assume that it is an original Porsche Slantnose from the factory. Entirely too many retrofits out there. it does appear to be a factory styled car.

The only thing that looks kinda of fishy are the air intakes on the rear flares, they should normally have slats.

I had a feeling it isn't factory. My knowledge on these cars is not the greatest.

How much does it cost to usually put on a Slantnose kit such as this one? Anyone have an idea?

The headlights are square as well, and currently only one pops up.

Still no one have any idea on the price of these DP wheels?

There was a set of wheels like that on ebay not too long ago. Starting bid was $350. The auction ended early. "Speeware" ? in Seattle was the seller. You might give them a call and see what they sold them for.

I have never seen those wheels on a real DP car either. My 79 DP 935 has 9" and 11" x 15". I have seen those built in marker lights on some fiberglass front slant fenders.

The prices really ranged on building slantnose cars so its hard to give a figure. If the car is a factory turbo I would start there and start deducting for the aftermarket bodywork unless DP or Porsche factory did the work...which is very doubtfull. Somebody probably paid a small fortune for the bodywork at some point but that doesn't mean anything now.

I found this information on DP wheels but the link is old and doesn't work. The numbers may be helpful.

The price on these whees are probably at least half the going rate for factory turbo wheels.

Are you looking to buy this car?

Those dp wheels are a generic aftermarket wheel that was marketed by the firm mentioned above. They were at the time considered a good quality wheel and made in Japan. I use to sell these back in the late eighties when there were like 10-15 aftermarket wheel companies. I had those same wheels on my gen II RX-7 turbo. Those wheels were available to fit about 50-75 applications. I don't think there was any connection to DP (Design Plastics) of Porsche fame other than trading off the cool initials.

It's a Salvage car. The car was stolen. it sits right now at 65K Miles, but the carfax says the odometre may have been tampered with.

It's a factory turbo. 930. Cabriolet. The engine needs work. The body. The whole car needs work all over. I can pick it up for about $12000CDN. Apparently it has an aftermarket upgraded turbo and some modifications have been done to the car. It's a california car. This the second 930 I have ever driven. The first was a 89 930 tuned by my old man. 480RWHP. can't really compare the two becasue one is modified and one runs like ****. But, this 930 really tears it up at about 4,000RPM. The rear end breaks loose with ease.

Just trying to figure out if this car is a good investment.
