Anyone know of an aluminum inlet pipe source?
I'm converting to EFI so I'll just have a cone air filter on the end of the inlet pipe to the compressor. The stock steel one weighs about 3.5 lbs so I'd like to replace it with aluminum. I could buy the aluminum bends and make it but it would sure be easier to buy one. Anyone know of someone that makes one?

That's if you want the trick stuff. You could go to any metal (welders) supply shop and get some good stuff.

I've bought from Burns before (best collectors on the market). I'm getting lazy and I'm 15 months into my engine rebuild and EFI conversion so I'm trying to cut some corners to get this thing finished.

I've got the engine built, but it's still on the engine stand.
Engine details:
Stock 3.3 crank
Pauter rods
98mm JE pistons 7.7:1 (measured)
Full fin Mahle cylinders
ARP head studs
964 cams
Twin plug (6 M&W wasted spark coils)
M&W CDI
Carrera intake and TB
65lb/hr injectors
Full bay intercooler which I haven't built yet (core from Bell)
Blow off valve between compressor and intercooler (I haven't bought yet)
Valve job by EBS
B&B exhaust
Stock wastegate (I may change it)
HF2 turbo (I need to call IA and order it)
EFI (Planning Autronic but I haven't bought yet)
Patrick lightweight flywheel
Centerforce aluminum clutch (I hope I don't regret this)
Stock 930 tranny (will change gearing after I see how motor runs)
I've also got the rear of the car ready for the engine by installing:
Elephant racing poly bronze bushings
Elephant racing mono *****
31mm hollow TB's
revalved Bilsteins
rebuilt 930 calipers and new discs
painted engine compartment with POR15
new engine seals
new fuel lines from gas tank
I need to get the EFI sensors installed, machine the fuel rails and get the fuel system installed, and build the intercooler. And of course install the engine and bunches of little things.

Geoffrey's been helping a bit with the final setup. The plan is to run a 0.6 bar spring with a boost controller hooked to the ECU. I'll probably run it at 1 bar. I'm hoping to have about 525 or so hp at the rear wheels.

I took the EFI101 class because I planned to map it myself, but with this much money invested/blown, I'm leaning towards taking it to Sam Shalala just to be on the safe side.
