Wow, those cars are very interesting, but you can tell they are dated. Serious 80's written all over them. Very radical for the time.

SoFast,
we're not speaking of some Korean make over here. The older turbos, in my opinion are a beast and takes one to master it. To a non porsche owner or to the general public, they have their jaws wide open when I tell them my rides from the 80's. Now how is my car different compared to stock in the looks department:
front and rear bumpers, different rear wing and rims. Thats all. I really dont think the 930's look dated at all. Radical:Hell yeah...

Sameer,

I have a 930 and it doesnt look dated. I get the same reaction as you! What I was refering to was not the 930 perse'. I was speaking of the DP935 shown here. The skirts and wheels makes the car look like it is from the 80's, as does a Ferrari Testarosa. I am not infering the car is not a piece of art, or isnt intersting....Just my opnion.

Sameer, no apologies necessary. It is tough to understand what someone is refering on the internet, esecially when you read comments. Verbal is easy to understand a persons inflection and tone. Dont sweat it. BTW, your car lloks great.

WOW...that car is way cool. Love the color, I remember in Highschool (mid '80's) being blown away by what DP was pulling off. Congrats!

I had a ride on a white on white with, maybe orange and yellow stripes DP 935 in 1982. It was an experience that I never forgot. And I never saw another DP untill 1986 in Austin, TX and it was a guards red but with a different bumper.

You know, DP is still in business, did you try contacting them and asking if they had any records of your car?

I did... but the company was handed down to the son, and it seems that some records are not around any more.

I called and emailed them, and they weren't able to help me all that much. It _WAS_ 24 years ago, so I can't blame them too much.

I also believe he dubbed the car "The Atomic Cockroach" in the article.

This thread is unbelievable. In 1983 or 84 my family was driving home from Florida to NY (around Easter); we were in the Carolina's when a flatbed carrying two wicked slantnose Porsche's merged onto the highway with us. I thought thy were red & black, but it was dusk when we saw them. We heard on the CB (lol!) that they were Pete Rose's and Dave Winfield's (or Dave Parker's, can't remember)....anyhow that image was seared into my mind....first slantnose I ever saw in person.
Can't believe that this is the same car I saw 26 years ago....
Amazing
