Default Help!!

Guys I need some help. My CD unit crapped out and I wanted to get a little feed back from you guys before I make a move. The previous owner replaced the original unit with a Perma Tune. I would like to stay away from another Perma Tune unit, but both of the other options are high dollar, and I just finished robbing my piggy bank for a K-27 7200(Thanks Stephen, big improvement). I was told that the Perma Tune units seem to last about 10 years, and the Bosch ones will go more than double that, but $300 compared to $1300 is a big difference. Help!! All opinions are appreciated.

PS. Does anyone have a good used unit laying around.

Thanks in advance.

Eric

Nah, I bet we can find you a used one. I just pulled a year old permatune out today. Car just started to die when ever it felt like it. I swapped it out with a CDI unit and all was well. I will see if I have another one around. I might!

You might want to look at the unit Performance Developments sells. I think its around $ 500.00 or so. Its fully digital and has a warranty. Plug in play unit. I had one before the EFI conversion. Actually I still have 2 in the car, 4 and 2 channel units that are ECU driven not the Distributor driven type I had before. It will give you a little more HP also.

What are the signs of a dying CD unit?

Other than the stock, I'd only want to suggest MSD.
