Default A/C Blower Motor noise

When I turn on the A/C in my '79 the blower starts to screech after it runs for 20-30 seconds. It sounds like dry bearings. Any advice on how to remove the motor?

You need to pull the evaporator cover and get the motor out of there. Don't wait to long the motor will seize and make a heck of a mess. The unit can be accessed in the smugglers well. There are a series of clips to remove and a couple of screws. Carefully pry the goo out of the area where the expansion valve proper goes. You will want to gently tug on the probe and it will come out of the sleeve. Once this is all out simply remove the top and pull the cage and motor out.
