Default Trying to choose cams

Anybody have any suggestions on a good cam for a modified 3.4L 930?
I am going to eventually put on an EFI system, so I want them to work with that. I only do a few autocrosses and an occasional DE with the car. I would like to see a better low end, right now it has Group B cams. Too high end for what I do.
Thanks,
Randy

For the sake of saving some $ to see what you need, you could just re time the Cams and see if this helps. This for sure will give you some idea of which way to go. I would not do anything until all your plans etc are made. Not sure what the Cams are set at now, but advancing the Intakes to around 100-104 should move the Torque lower. Most shops set the Cams up at a certain Valve lift at TDC. I am not sure what the Crank degree works out at. Some here should know. As a added note, on these single Cam engines, Cams set by this method will give different Cam/Valve timing at full lift.

Forgot to mention, make sure you check the P/V clearances after you have moved the Cams.

M24 is correct. You could retime them. This would help. The key is how much low end is enough and what is to much for your goals. The K27 will never flow what the Bs will and the Bs will be a bit more in the upper range then sounds like what you are after. If you do plan on an EFI and want to retain the K27 series you might consider a 964 grind then retime it once the EFI is in place. There are a lot of options that depend on the whole scope of the project.
