Default Turbo doesn't kick in

I recently acquired a 1986 930 with 18K miles. It was stored for a long period. Had an expert P shop go through it and replaced lots of rubber bits, hoses, etc. Car ran great for a couple of months but now turbo isn't kicking in. Drove it yesterday with no turbo (runs great otherwise) but got a strong gas smell inside the car. Can't smell gas under either hood though...odd. Thoughts anyone?

Many possible sources. The guys over at Pelican can be quite helpful if you want to give them a try.
For me it was a sticking piston in the valve housing. #3 was sticking which prevents boost from entering the engine. Pretty easy DIY to disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble. No parts needed however I did replace all gaskets and seals.

....I now see that I have a fuel leak.....dripping from drivers side of engine....that's from looking at the floor, I haven't gotten under it yet. Thanks for the replies.

That's where the fuel pumps and accumulators reside.
