2009 911 Turbo rough idle P0300 AND camshaft huh?
 

Shortened :
I got the car back from dealership after oil change , took it back day after an oil change with CEL and they told me a Camshaft went bad, with a qoute of $8700 to fix it. cant do that right now and im not sure if that really is the case.
the only thing on the quote besides the laundry list was :

** REPLACE BANK 1 INTAKE CAMSHAFT AND INSPECT
CAMSHAFT NOT RESPONDING CONSISTENTLY TO ADVANCE/RETARD INPUTS

I'm taking the car back to car max where i purchased the car hopefully they can help since i only had the car 8 months..


Does anyone have experience with INTAKE CAMSHAFT not lining up?
Does this sound accurate?
From forum research here it seems it could be so many other things even if something got wet causing it to misfire, the wrong oil went in, or coils plugs etc.
I feel stuck here and don't feel it should go back to the dealership for that amount$.

someone on another forum suggested to bring it to a local mechanic as well that i found so will try that after carmax.
