It is possible that it is factory, although more likely to be aftermarket. Apparently real ones are usually plywood. There is lots of info over on PelicanParts. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-9...-flachbau.html
If the car has other Exclusive options, they are more likely to be factory. Most common is the Exclusive steering wheel.
The slats were advertised as far back as 1983.
The prefix and actual code changed depending on the year. The Sonderwunsch department changed to Exclusive somewhere around late calendar year 1985? They changed to three-character alphanumeric codes somewhere between summer 1988 and summer 1989. I think current cars still use three characters for Exclusive, although presently are Cxx.
Codes for rear slats follow, by calendar year (changeover years are inclusive as I don't know the month when things changed). I do not know where the early SOW/EXC codes are written, maybe on the build sticker like later three-character ones?
thru 1984: No published code at consumer end. Simply part "D" of the Flatnose package. Could be SOW-012, though.
1984-1985: SOW-012
1985-1988: EXC-012
1988-1989: XB7

I only used the steering wheel as a reference. It is entirely possible the slats are factory, but there were also many aftermarket ones as well.
The presence of other Exclusive options (such as, but not necessarily, a steering wheel), then it is more likely the slats are factory. But, the slats could very well be original, and the only Exclusive option. In the Pelican thread above, there are descriptions and pictures for identifying factory slats.
Steering wheels are one of the more common Exclusive options, hence why I used it as an example.
You can't tell from the VIN if the slats are original, not without doing some research at least. You can get a CoA from Porsche, but those are often incorrect. Could make a guess based on pictures.
Hopefully that is clearer?
