Default 86 930 oil pressure gauge problem?

I have a stock 86 930. It takes about 20 plus minutes for my pressure gauge need to come out of the red zone and then just barely. I have plenty of oil. Anyone have experience or feedback on why so low? Could I have a bad sensor? Any feedback?

You better hope it's a bad sender. Should obviously be higher when cold. Are you sure it's not the oil level gauge your referring to?

Good possibility.
Usually with a bad sending unit it either works, or it does not. While you have access to the unit, it is not as easy to change as one would think. But doable.
