I've owned a 1986 911 turbo since 1996. I bought the car with 5500 documented miles on it. The paint code under the hood calls out Y8 which is moss green metallic. The COA from Porsche call out the Y8 code.
The car has Forest Green Metallic paint, code22E/W7. The original owner special ordered the color from the factory. The appraisor agreed the car has not been resprayed.
Is this possible given the COA??

I've seen a few posts about incorrect COAs. A search should reveal some. Where does your special order info come from and where is the code22E/W7 noted?

The original owner stated in bill of sale that he special ordered Forest Green Metallic from Porsche. I don't have the original invoice. According to paint panels I have seen Forest Green Metallic code is 22E and not available until 1989.
Moss Green Metallic code is 20C in 1985. I got samples of each from Dr. color chip and the match is 22E and not 20C as stamped on the plate in the trunk. Maybe the factory pulled the car, changed the paint but not the color plate?? I was wrong in the first post that the plate is stamped Y8, it is actually stamped 20C.

I would trust the sticker on the car over the seller. But that's just me.

L20C is Moss Green for 1986 911 and I'd guess 930's
