Default Tires 9s and 11s x17

What brand & model tires are your favorite for dry highest performance on 9 & 11 x17 wheels? My old standby favorite Goodyear Eagle F1 D3 have changed too much looking for alternatives. Thanks in advance!

Whoa - how do fit 315s? I'd have thought it not possible. Would you mind sharing wheel info inc offset? Got photo? Thanks in advance.

I ran 315 x17 Hoosiers on my "Turbo Look" 911 race car. CCW built the wheels. Didn't have to reroute oil lines but I did shave the spring plate bolts.

On my 86 930 with Ruf 9x17 & 11x17's I currently use Firestone Indy-500's in 245/45-17 and 275/40-17. The car is very low on 4-corner coil overs and this was the max tire I could pass in the rear fenders. I am surprised at how much I like the Firestones. A friend that works for Bridgestone/Firestone says the Indy-500 is the new generation of the Bridgestone pole position S-02. Why knows but the tires stick and the tread design isn't offensive. I do also recommend the Nitto NT01 in the same sizes if you want sticky as possible DOT... but ONLY in the dry. If it rains, just pull over as you will be skating.

I had 315's on my 86 930 with zero rubbing. Ran hoosiers and R888's as well.

I actually have this set on the car for sale with brand new Hoosier R7's.

No, too expensive. These are budget Linea Corse wheels.
