Alarm sound when activating/de-activating?
 

I want to make sure I'm not missing anything but when I activate the car alarm with my remote to lock the vehicle, there is no sound like a beep or anything like that. On my other, non-Porsche cars, when I do this, there is some kind of sound to let you know the alarm is turned on or off.

What year is your car, and was it fitted with factory central locking? What aftermarket remote locking system was installed?

When I lock/unlock my car [fitted with factory central locking] with the key [no remote locking installed], besides the lock solenoids, there is no accompanying beep/sound. The only visible changes after locking the car are the recessed door pulls with their flashing red LEDs.

No aftermarket alarm.
Light flash after activation but no sound, which I find strange as I'm used to some sound letting me know it's activated/de-activated. Wonder if this can be programmed in?
