Has anyone mixed race gas ?
I'm thinking of mixing a little race gas (100 octane) with the super (91 octane) we have here on the west coast. What would be a good formula to use to bump up the octane some. My car has a engine built by RUF with adjustable boost, intercooler, cams etc.. When I lived back east I was able to buy 94.5 octane super. Here the best we have is 91 but there is a Union 76 selling 100 octane race gas.

Check Steve Weiner's site at: http://www.rennsportsystems.com/2a.html
There's a chart on mixing 100 with 91 on the bottom of the first page.
Every one does it for insurance against detonation, especially when tracking your car or when it's very hot out.

I think this is a VERY good idea to protect the integrity of your pistons and rings.
Mix that stuff 50/50 and you'll be fine unless you have twin-ignition. Then, you can use a 25/75 mix for street use.

Thanks guys. Just the info I was looking for. I will do a 50/50 mix this weekend. I haven't even really opened the car up on this (91 octane) terrible gas out here.
