930S Cab door gaps
Have been hunting for a 930S cab. I need some guidance from the experts!!
The two cars I have looked at ( Cabs, low mileage, no mods etc) have horrible gaps at the doors., The rear door upper gap is a good 1/8 wider than the gap mid door to lower door. Same issue with upper gap front area of door. Gap has been 3/16 - 1/4 inch wider than gap mid door / lower door. Also several I have looked at have horrible gaps with the front fenders around A pillar - these are are factory slantnose not aftermarket. Frunk lids/ front hoods/headlights have good gaps, Doors close perfectly with the ping sound. My questions: 1) Are all 930S cabs from the factory with poor panel fitment? 2) Is it a fluke that the two I have looked at both have these poor fitting panels? 3) Are the cab bodys tweaked which is causing the poor fit? 4) tops is opening a closing fine so appear to be within spec? 5) no sign of accidents or body damage on either car. Paint meter perfect on each panel etc. Sample of poor fit: https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...3414987c9b.jpg All comments appreciated. If panel fit is my OCD issue - would looking at 930S coupes resolve the fit concern? Thanks, Speedster |
any opinions on the gaps on these slant nose cars?

From that picture angle it looks off. Need pics from the side, straight at each door.

I have a low mileage '88 factory slantnose cab and the door gaps are perfect.
