Sorry......I would totally buy this car at that price if it passes the PPI. Perfect backdate car. Guilt free too. The car could even be parted out and you'd get your money back. Certainly worth a second look.

Good grief...
People want to "upgrade" old cars to make them look newer, others want to back date cars to make them look older. Why can't people just let them represent the period that they were built?
Things are screwed up...

I totally agree. After I purchased my 964, I started looking at what mods to add. Once I started totaling up the parts, exhaust, coil overs, new wheels, wong chip and so on, I decided to skip that crap and bought a 911SC instead. Everyone has their own idea of what a Porsche should be. I'm happy with an all original, close to stock one, for now.

Taking back to stock only requires the correct bumpers ,rockers, wheels, and mirrors. Those aren't turbo flares, standard SC/Carrera flares.
If you were closer to Fl, I have most of what you need to return to the stock look.

Yep.. I got one of mine really cheap because of the website nitpickers.. it is a 78 Euro coupe with a ratty interior and a rather nicely done fiberglass Strosek body kit! As the nickpickers were leveling they're verbal assaults, I waltzed-in and scooped-it up... and its hello my little DE & track-day hooker.

But I doubt 90% of smog station attendants would even know it isn't stock.

I can tolerate the bumpers, but the sills/rockers need to be taken back to something else. Either stock or shaved but not that pretend 964 shyte...
^^ What he said!

I've seen lots of half and half cars over the years where longhood we're updated up front with the IROC bumper and short hood. Likely accident victims that we're further victimized

That is for a large central oil cooler. Believe it or not guys pay upwards of $400 for the cooler.....Little do they know it can be found on a turbo Merc at LKQ for $26 or less.
