John, I know I was harsher than I should have been. Was just trying to get your attention.
This entire thing likely boils down to sequence of events. You guys don't know about the 3,2 engine tin situation because most owners/shops backdate their heat long before they install headers. Pelican sells all the different engine surround components and heat backdate parts to the typical DIY'er and all that work has long since been done before you guys enter the picture. Decent shop owners wouldn't even need to consult you on engine tins.
Can I ask why that crossover looks so funky? It looks like a silicone boot.

I just started reading this thread.
I'll tell you what I'd have done. I have cut the part and tack welded it back so it works, then have an exhaust shop make something out of mild steel that I can heat and bend to fit. Yeah that's a pain, but that is how it goes when doing aftermarket modifications. You have to sometimes deal with the fact that we don't live in a perfect world.
And I'm planning to add a Fabspeed exhaust to the aligator car later. I need something that is smog legal in Commiefornia.

Bought the Carrera RSR kit from Fabspeed.
Unfortunately their crossover heat pipe doesn't fit for my Carrera 3.2.
Brian @ Fabspeed is telling me that my 3.2 engine has been modified or is not original, as he states that ALL air cooled Porsches have the same exact heat crossover tubing and 'one size fits all'
Unfortunately I've done further searching and found different pics of their own product that shows different parts for different engine types, and what I have seems to be for a different engine type.
Any ideas what I should do?

Anyone have any suggestions what I'm supposed to do with it or how I'm supposed to use this metal cylinder? I'm not exactly sure..

Nope. There are two "out" ducts opposite the line of site that sit on either end of that crossover. He is stuck moving the hole in the tin and backdating the heat. At least that is the only thing I can think of. Will be interesting to see what he does.

Burning Brakes
Ha! I just had the EXACT same experience with Fabspeed and this guy Brian. They sent me incorrect parts and a bracket for an older design of a muffler, then blamed me, my mechanic and my car being non stock for it not fitting. It's bone stock. Brian told me everything I was shipped was perfect, then in the very same sentence said he'd ship me a new modified bracket and a shorter muffler strap. Huh? Thought I had all the right parts!? Eventually the new parts worked with their newly designed muffler and it's on the car. This after me having to diagnose and point out several issues with their system, and at hundreds of extra wasted dollars taking parts on and off and the car having to go to the shop to prove I wasn't errant. I'll get their crap off my car once I find something better. I'll never do business with fabspeed again.

Well... What I did was install the silicon hose exactly the way it shows in my pics... with it not lined up.
I just wanted to get the heater hoses installed onto the exhaust headers for now to cover up the holes.
I chose not to cut up anything... as I wasn't confident that the cylinder tube temporary fix would work. And the last thing I wanted to do was be completely without anything if the fix didn't work and staring at a hacked up silicone hose.
I talked more with John @ Fabspeed and they will look into their supply chain on this part and find out what went wrong and said that once they get the right part for my 3.2, he'll send me over the correct replacement.
I don't need any heat this time of the year, so hopefully they'll get me something before the cold weather starts creeping back in the early mornings.

I had hoped me bad luck with the same person @ Fabspeed was isolated to me.
Hopefully they will make the necessary changes within to keep this from happening.
I want Fabspeed to succeed. Especially more so, now that I'm pissing off everyone around me with my extremely loud and annoying Fabspeed exhaust!
