the 944 8ET23.3 x16 has been fitted to the front of a 911 but it's not a happy fit, the ET23.3 is a tad low for comfort ET25-31( the higher the better for lip room) is preferred. If you do thus the shortest tire possible helps a lot, something like a 225/45 x16 which @~23.9"OD is a full inch shorter than the usual 205/55 x16

911 8ET10.6 are definitely not for the front of a 911 unless you have flared fenders ala 930.
