Adam, may I say that your obsession with getting it right and Colin with he's team ability to execute it has created a supurb car. The colour is just so .... classy together with the interior it is a very desirable combination. Would be something to collect a zero km classic car built to perfection and choosing to use modern components. I really like your choice of the porsche classic sat/nav does not look out of place in the interior and provides modern convience. Congratulations you have a masterpiece

Default Porsche Club open night at Ninemeister HQ

Last Wednesday evening (8th Feb) we opened the doors of Ninemeister HQ for the monthly meeting of the Porsche Club GB Region 5 (North West) and were privileged with around 120 visitors on the night. As luck would have it, I had collected Adam's car earlier in the week for its first post-delivery service and a little fettling and fine tuning here and there, hence it was an easy decision to give it pride of place in the middle of the 9m Showroom alongside a freshly completed Guards Red 9m64RS and a fully restored Black 964C2. I'm glad to say that the evening was a huge success. Naturally the 9m11RS attracted a lot of attention all night and we had at least three visitors inspired enough by the car to be contemplating their own 9m11RS builds. Here are a few photos from the night, one of which is my good self explaining some of the finer build details to the wife of one of our customers (his pristine 9m restored Iris Blue 993 was directly behind Adam's).

The service should be done and the car back with Adam before the end of the month, directly after which we have lined up a GT Porsche magazine to do a full feature and road test. No doubt Adam's driving impressions will follow shortly after once the roads dry out and there is spring in the air.....

What a great thread! Just read it from the start to the last post.
Kudos to Colin and his team for a job well done and congrats to Adam- enjoy and drive the 9m11 in good health.
Maybe one day I will be in a similar position as Adam...

Congrats Adam on doing the research and taking the time to select the just right components and shop 'Colin and Ninemeister' to complete the task ...well done all round !
Seeing a tasty Anthricite long hood such as yours makes me realize how attached I am to this color !!,!
Twenty five years ago I had a slate 320 i , quite a few years later my slate grey 993 TT ,
purchased a 3.0 CS coupe originally Anthricite Grey and promptly had it refreshed
and almost forgot my '05 HSE Range Rover also Slate sitting in front of my house.
So that's four vehicles to show my slate admiration , your long hood is certainly a
wonderful example, I have a'72 RS clone in dark silver looks real close haha love it !

Here are a few more photos of Adam's 9m11RS at the open night, courtesy of the Porsche Club North West Region galley on the PCGB website. The other photos include a 9m restored Zenith Blue 993C2S, a 9m64RS Lightweight in Guards Red, my 993RS CS, a Jaegermeister orange 9m35K3 under construction (with parts on shelf), a 996GT3RS in for water pipe welding and a few other views from around the workshop in general.

The 9m11RS is now serviced and back with Adam, patiently waiting for days out in some Spring weather and of course its forthcoming magazine feature.

I have a couple of iphone movies from the engine start and collection but the files are too large to directly load to RL. I'll see if I can post them to our YouTube account first and post a link. don't hold your breath though, they are not exactly "dynamic" but will give a clear idea of the engine note.

Perhaps Adam might be able to organise a drive-by film when the magazine do their testing? What you say Adam?

Adam's 9m11RS has made front page news in the latest edition of GT Porsche magazine:

Digital copies are available to download now from their website, apparently, for those who can't find one on a newsstand.
Hope you enjoy the feature.

First Rule - Once a car is "featured" in print or online, it is soon sold.
