Depends a lot on the quality of the conversion, mileage, rust, etc. There were no factory turbo looks until 1984.
Incidentally, the "5" as the fourth digit in the VIN means it is a 1975.

That isn't a 79 engine. Even 75 was cis and this is carbs so you would need engine number to find out more. Carbs aren't bad but you need the engine number to see what The displacement was. This engine has been redone so who knows.

Not a Turbo chassis or motor. Front flares are huge and all wrong, rear flares are not the correct shape. I bet the front fenders are fiberglass. Who knows what is in back.
Engine converted to carbs. Should be a fuel injected 2.7 liter. Carbs are not necessarily bad, but probably lots of expensive surprises elsewhere under the skin.
I think you should run and not look back.

SO AFTER ALL THIS TIME, I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR YESTERDAY FOR 12.000 US.
I Figured i can have my money back in parts worst case.
the front and back fenders do seem to be made out of metal.
overall the condition is not too bad, the engine is supposedly a 2.7 but the serial number is not where it is supposed to be, is there only one place on the whole engine where it is located ?

I see the pics now ...
I think this car might have a shady history but a great pickup for 12G . Is it running ? I would say clean up the engine bay and just enjoy. it definitely looks like the S/n was filed off so who knows what you are dealing with.

please find attached some more pics of the engine, i live in south america so not too worried about it, its seems as if the engine has been replaced a long long time ago.

the engine is running, but not smooth, it seems to need some carb adjustment, new spark cables etc.
chasssis number is there and papers seem fine to, so the engine only has the serial in this place, no other serial location ?

Zenith carbs. Probably a 2.2T ('70-'71) that was plugged in on the cheap when the original engine pulled studs.
Not sure what that distributor is all about, as the what-should-be-stock on a 2.2T Marelli didn't have vacuum advance.

i have just added a video of the engine running to youtube, there seems to be a fuel leak on the left carb, then engine doesnt run smooth, it barely takes on any gas, cant even shift into second as it seems to drown.
