Original 1973 hood crest
Hello gents. I'm looking for an original "Orange" '73 hood crest. Anyone know a place to buy, or own one and wants to sell? Please pm me or call.

You know that you can buy them new directly from Porsche... orange stripes and all... I did...
With Porsche making them again, not sure why you would want to pay for an old one... here is the one that I bought for my car. Photo does not show the orange bands well...

Going for authenticity and would prefer an old one. These cars are climbing in value and to respect the heritage and keep things original as possible, it made sense to locate a crest that's period correct.

Another option is to age the one you have. A few folks have done this in the early 911s registry forum http://ww.early911sregistry.org/

Here's why; the patina from 40+ years of use is beautiful looks great on an old air-cooled car:
