1988 911 underside colours - for Tamiya kit
 

Hello All,

928 guy here, asking for a little help. I am making the Tamiya model of the 1988 911 Turbo, kit 24279. The instructions say that the centre of the underside (under the cabin area) should be body coloured and the areas around the wheel arches and engine bay should be flat black. Can anyone confirm regarding the body coloured areas?

That is correct the tub is body colored and wheel wells are flat black

watch at 3:47. Entire body underside is the same color as the top.

There was a recent thread where a prospective buyer was put off by turbo cars that had there wheel wells painted black. It was pointed out by another lister that it was correct for some years/markets.
