Autos heading back to Europe

I ran across this place today while in Oakland CA. Business was to ship autos to Europe and they said these were all headed there. So Long!:bigbye:

No doubt. Europeans are generally willing to pay more for like goods.

Cool rides no doubt. Likely not to have any more than a negligible impact on the American market, though.

I wouldn't mind that 911 there...!

Nice photo. Not the first I've heard of these cars going back to Germany.

Any ideas on why it is so common now, despite the drastic change in exchange rates due to the strong dollar (which should make these cars even more expensive to export)?

BTW, my first car ever, a 1979 FIAT spider that was replaced with my current '85 911 Cabriolet, was shipped out of Oakland to a buyer in Japan in 1997.

I guess California cars are well known to have environmental advantages once they get older.

European buyers are a key reason for rising prices.

It's a global market.

But with the Euro at $1.04, this may slow things down a bit.
