Fuel filler cap
I'm looking for a new fuel filler cap for my '83 SC without much luck. I have tried both Pelican and Automation. Mine is a Euro spec car and the cap is a screw on cadmium plated (yellowish gold). The only ones I have found have a red plastic top. Anyone have any other sources. Thanks

All of the SC's I've seen didn't use a threaded cap (screw down type, like '96 & later cars) unless you have something unique. The caps I've had here use two spring steel bars to lock the cap into place.
In those cases, I've removed the gasket and then had it yellow zinc plated to restore it.

Euro & US cars use the same caps. I've not tried the Dealer to see what versions (there are 3) are still available, but thats an option. Question for Carrera 3.2 owners: What is the original fuel cap on the 3.2. The yellow plated metal cap or the plastic red-trimmed cap above?

So you don't do eBay even if they just gave you a link to what you are looking for....wow...

Have you tried a Porsche dealer like Sunset Porsche in Oregon?

As for eBay, I know it is hard for young people to accept but some of us over 70 don't do eBay, Facebook, Twitter etc, but we can still drive fast and with the same smile you have.

I have had my dealer inquire and it appears that only the red plastic top one is available.

53.89 for the same cap he can get at eBay for 12.00!!!
It is your money, and now you have two options. I can order it and have it shipped directly to you or you can buy it directly from Porsche.
