It is my understanding that the 250,000 911 was built in August of 1987. This car would have been a 88 model year car. More importantly does anyone know the exact day in August of 1987 that the 250,000 car was built? What color and model was that body style? Any other details? Vin number?
I assume that the car is in the Porsche museum?
I have an 88 911 that was built in August of 87 and I am trying to assess where my car fits in the grand total number?

Rhea Hard to say when the exact 250,000 car was made, though Porsche may have records to that. As you can see from my picture I am fortunate to have acquired one of the 1988 commemorative Cabriolets which were made to honor the 250K car. How close these were to the actual 250,000 I do not know.

It was a coupe and the build date is June 3, 1987. Don't know the VIN or the color.
