Soft hood - Washing
Gents,
What would you do for soft hood washing, please? I am not talking about treatment, reproofing... Just the regular "everyday" care when washing the car... For the body of the car I usually use snow foam pre-washing, then car shampoo but tend not to wash the soft hood and just give it cleaning/reproofing every few months. However, a new 911 arrived this week and I am not sure what is the best way to keep the hood in a good condition. Cheers |
I've driven & owned Porsche's for 46 years. What the heck is a soft hood?

I'm guessing the OP is in the UK. Must be a cabriolet. Soft hood is British for soft top.
If he had said "soft bonnet", it would have been even more confusing. :) Mark |
That's why I think anyone posting should be required to put where they are from. Are they ashamed of where they live?

Oh, Glasgow. Sorry for labeling you British instead of Scottish. :)
I don't have a soft top, but Car Care Specialties has a lot of good info: http://store.carcareonline.com/carea...dsofttops.aspx They used to be (and maybe still are) owned by Larry Reynolds, a Porsche guy. Mark |
Thank you, Mark for the helpful information
