About 300-400 miles prior to your oil change service(s).

Thanks. It's a fine line between a P.I.B. and inquisitive!

......and I provided an answer with my suggestion.

However, It is a fact that there are lots of threads covering many topics, and it is my belief that one can gain a lot of knowledge from previous posts as well. That is one of the key benefits to an online forum, the archival aspect of such a place.

My suggestion was a general one to him as a fairly new member here, to be sure he was taking advantage of this benefit. I don't see the problem in that, and I didn't simply blow him off.

It was not my intention to offend you.....I guess I got under Ed's skin. But, my suggestion and its reasoning is a sincere one.

In fact, as I noted I DID give you some feedback to your question-He didn't.

This forum would be so boring if everyone kept asking questions. STOP IT.
