Range of values for this 1981 911 SC?
Hi all, I took a brief look at a 1981 (build date 12/80) 911 SC over the weekend.
I didn't take it to a mechanic nor did I have time to rally dig into it, but it's bone stock, 200K+ miles, a "rebuilt" engine (whatever that means) at about 125K miles, trans seems to shift OK, A/C seems OK, interior and exterior looks like they've both got 200K+ miles on them. Tires need to be replaced.
CA car and mechanically pretty well-maintained, I'm sure, as I know the owner very well.
I've got a '87 944 so I'm not really up on what 911 prices or mechanical warnings signs are...
I imagine I don't have enough info for a really accurate idea of value, but any ideas of a range of values for the car?
Thanks!

It does make a difference. Cabs and Targas bring less. Condition makes a bigger difference. Without seeing it and really going through it's good and bad points that is just a wild guess. Could be a 2K swing either way depending, but sounds like that is best case... depending on what you think a 200k body and interior is like.
How ratty is it? faded, scraded door dinged up with an interior that is need of replacing? could be a $7500 car.
I could have bought a 83 SC with 196K that was mechnically prestine but the body and interior was hammered for 10K a year ago.

Thanks Makmov. Paint (metallic brown) is flaking but not really too faded. Couple door dings here and there, but no major uh-ohs. Front driver's seat has a tear in it, and both fronts look pretty worn, but they're still serviceable. Dash cracks, iirc.
