915 LSD Installation
Looking to install guards lsd into my 84 with 915 box. I know there will be more heat generated in th box due to the lsd. Question is should an external be installed to keep temps in lower? I also know that people have switched from Swepco 201 to 210 and this worked fine without a cooler? Lastly, I understand that 80/60 split is the preferred setup for track only?

I have a Guards unit in my '83 SC and i have tracked it with no heat problems. You need to spend some time looking at the Guard unit before you hide it in the car. It is a class product and is outstanding in the car as well. One of the better improvements I made to the car.

i am using 201 and no issues.. it is a NON synthetic and that is recomended for 915s. I am not sure what 210 is.
i think next change I will add some lsd adative.

There are a few available to help out the clutch plates. I saw some on the shelf th other day and may check it out. They are just small bottles.

the usual splits for a track car are 40/60(acc/decel) or 50/80, current RSRs use 40/60
