Default Porsche.com PET

I cannot access the PET catalogues from Porsche.com. Are they making you BUY the CD-ROM now instead of providing online?? Heaven forbid they provide a resource without charging for it..............

The guys at Pelican tried to give me the CD-ROM but they were out when they went to look for it. Call them and see if they have it now.

uh oh. Even the parts pdf on Pelican is down.

I bought the Porsche cd rom, as soon as it was available. I got a call from Porsche saying that it was no longer available, and a refund check in the mail. Then out of the blue, I got a call from my buddy Randy at Porsche saying that it came in, come and get it before it disappears.

Apparently Porsche has decided they don't want the info out there. Maybe others are competing with them to provide parts from their oem suppliers?

This link is buried deep, but but is a useful reference including official Porsche Workshop Manuals.

OK, I see now. The link to download the .pdf catalog doesn't work anymore but you can buy a CD. Thanks.

The CD-ROM can be ordered via the part number given below.

Porsche Original Parts Catalogue on CD-ROM

* Price: €5.90 (plus VAT)*
* Adobe PDF Format
* Available at your Porsche Centre
* Part number: 000 043 400 06

Porsche told their own parts guy that the CD ROM was no longer available, and I received a letter and a check from Porsche refunding my money, and telling me that it was discontinued.

It was a total surprise when the CD ROM showed up at Porsche, and I think my buddy knew that I'd jump all over it when he got it. My impression is that Porsche does not want anyone other than their own dealers to have access to the PET. If this is true, then the CD ROM would have never seen the light of day if he had sent it back.

Gah! Luckily, I saved the 993 and 968 ones. If anybody happens to need them...
