Sodding Seatbelt Light - Help!
First let me start by saying that I am a seat belt wearing citizen. However, my car hasn't a care if I am wearing it or not. It keeps intermittenly flashing the seat belt light. Is there an easy way to turn this off or remove the bulb? This would be on a 1987 Carrera. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

According to the very limited info in the Bentley manual. There is a switch in the seat belt latch, I think there is a connector under the seat, and there is a "seatbelt light control unit" somewhere (where or what this is I do not know, but I would guess it is part of the multi-light assembly that houses the seat-belt and brake warning lights). The cover for the warning light should snap off, if the bulb is not on a PCB it should be removable.

you might be able to reach the contact for the light if you take out the clock, then reach over and push out the speedo. You can stick your arm in and then down, reach down to the seatbelt light.

mine has a relay ( 78 ) behind the speedo. I know because my seat belt light didn't work and I had to put one in to get it to work .. not sure if yours is the same.
I think it may work the ebrake to though . here is what mine looked like. I totally fluked into one on ebay.
