Default 1985 Turbo Look Prices

What's a decent price for a low mileage '85 turbo look car (72K miles)? Also do they all have boxed rockers (which I don't like)? Guards red, very good shape.

Thanks,
Rick

Big price difference between factory turbo look (m491 option) and aftermarket.

Ensure that you know which one you are looking at.

It's the factory option, which is why I'm interested.

With the market right now I would assume 18-25k range depending on the car.

No, they did not all come with boxed rockers. I don't think that it was even an option.....I stand corrected...option code X76.

You looking at the red one on eBay? No they didnt come standard with boxed rockers and No the didnt come standard with the vents infront of the back wheels. The one on eBay which the seller claims is a factory job with those options has a ton of questions which the seller could not come up with reasonable answers for.

This is the one I am talking about>>>> oh and the Porsche system shows it to be a black car originally. No boxed rockers on this one maybe you are talking about the other one listed.

It's not the one on the link provided, that one has more "modern" vents that are obviously not period correct, at least with my limited knowledge.

Thanks,
Rick

Those vents in the one I posted to the link are pretty close to the period correct vents for an air cooled car. Modern ones on the water cooled cars or the 965 S are a lot different.

You must be talking about this 72k miles car with the boxed rockers

Nice looking they want 28 and change for the car and I bet you could have a PPI done around the corner at Air Cooled Classics. The top guy at air cooled classics is a fairly frequent poster here and on rennlist he may know the car.

Thanks, if the option code isn't what you listed I'm taking ithem off. They will be for sale if anyone wants them, might be for sale even if not.

Yes, I bought the car.

Yep, bought the car. Paid on the high side of the range listed earlier, but feel comfortable with the deal so far. I'm new to 911 ownership, having owned 944 (NA and Turbo) for over 20 years. So I'll probably have lots of questions for you guys.

Thanks,
Rick
