Jim was awesome.
I live in far northern NH and three other shippers/brokers almost laughed. "No one will want you shipment". Jim came up with options and ideas. I went with his idea to rent a Uhaul car trailer and bring it to his warehouse. Jim also suggested flatbedding to the Warehouse or driving to a location further south of me to meet up with one of their trucks. I did not want to drive my car due to summer only tires and the poor weather we have been having.
FYI...One issue with the Uhaul trailer is the front wheel stops hit the air ducts on my 996 as I loaded. Getting loaded was ok but unloading would have caught those ducts and ripped them off. A driver at the warehouse came over and gave me a hand by grabbing some thick rubber mats from a truck and putting them behind my front wheels so the front would lift as I backed off. Perfect.
These folks at Intercity are superb to do business with. And yes the pricing was competitive.
