Dry weight (empty):
912 = 970 kg
911T/L = 1080 kg
911S = 1030 kg

Engine weight (no oil):
912 = 130 kg
911 (all 2.0l) = 184 kg

lbs = kg x 2.2046

From the "Porsche Book" by Paul Frere

The 72 917 Spyder was only 750 kg with 850 to 1100 hp depending on engine used.

1964 Spyder Elva weighed 520 kg with 270 hp

1966 Spyder 910-8 weighed 450 kg with 272 hp

1969 912 weighed 995 kg
1969 911 weighed 1020 kg
1970 914 weighed 900 kg

1957 Speedster 885 kg

911R = 800 kg

Larousse Tour d’France 911ST modified - so not really production = 789 kg

550? if you count it, would surely be the lightest in one of tis evolutions - depends on whther a production racer = "production"

it could be licensed for road use; and James Dean and others did so...

904 ? - same as 550

1967 910 6 cyl...1125 lbs dry.Have an 8cyl.Titanium and steel tube frame,used for dry sump storage.13 1nch factory formula centerpoint wheels.Plastic body.The 8cyl has an aluminum engine cover.277 hp,lightweight trans case that has not held up well due to passage of time.They made 35 of them,I think 9 were 8 cyls.Not sure how they got past the homologation specs.Possibly because they were built as factory hill climbers,not for sale to public.First quick change brake pads.Cars did well at Targa Florio,Mille Miglia,Monte Carlo hill climb,etc,etc.Mine is street registered,we do vehicle inspections and are out side city limits.It had a part in the Steve McQueen movie.Has,had 905 trans.It's like driving a cross between a 917/30 and a Formula V.this 917/30,s were incredibly scary to drive before they fixed downforceLongtail/shorttail.All of the works drivers took one lap in them then refused to drive em.This thing just makes you smile,and you remember the reasons you loved doing this all these years.I've got a 3.2 and a 915 in it now.Webers,twin plug heads.Scared to go turbo,intercoolers,way too much heat to loose.

Yeah,I'll be happy to.I've got some in a file.I've gotta find em.I was putting an sbc in it.Not gonna work.Got out of hospital last night.4 rounds of pneumonia since October.Been in the barn since March 06.It's got green mold growing on it.One of my wife,s horses broke the dr. side mirror off it.and one door had been mounted gullwing,can't remember why.
I can't believe I spelled homolugation wrong.It,s kind of like when guys who went to Yale saying nuke-you-ler.And I can't remember the plural of forum.I think I'm taking too many strong meds.I'll do it when I can,not sure what I'm donna do with it besides have fun.Not a clue of the value.In the process of buying an 05 turbo s.Soon....

Well, sounds like you have your hands full. I'm sure there is interest, start another thread with photos when you are up to it.

That nuke-you-ler is almost as funny as a guy that can afford a Porsche not double spacing after a period.

Hope the green mold isn't what keeps giving you pneumonia.
