Default 1980 Euro SC

Hi guys,

I bought this today. It's a no sunroof, 1980 Euro SC. 107k miles with fresh engine and transmission. Good PPI. It droves really nice and pulls really strong. Straight tub and 2%-3% on the leakdown! I think I like it!

Dig my stylin' soon to be replaced interior! I actually like it for some reason.

It will become my new track toy. Look forward to sharing with you guys.

Very nice, congratulations. I am sure Doug will like the colour choice.

The legend behind those seats is that porsche had to stop making them because their upholsters kept on complaining of head aches when working with that fabric.

You DOG!!! That's my color ...except you found a euro sans sunroof; exactly what I was looking for a few years ago, but had to "settle" for my US 82SC. Mine has made its transformation into the official Trackmeister. Huge congrats to you on a gorgeous car in a stunning color ...almost a shame to track such a beauty!

No idea what the color is called. It is a metallic. Someone on the 964 forum said Petrol Blue. You guys tell me. I'm clueless with these and I'm just starting to learn. It's way different from a 964.

Also, It's a 10ft beauty. The pictures make it look way better than reality. That said, it's a good looking car. I love the 16" Fuchs. It will make a perfect track platform once I get some suspension under it and safety items added.

the color name is on a little tag under the hood up front on the passenger side. unsnap the carpet and it should give a code and the German name for the color. It's right inline with the snaps. I remember another color blue that is almost exactly the same as Ven. that pre-dates it by several years.

Thanks, Douglas. I looked there and no tag. It seems a little more blue than Jaime's car, but close. It's hard to tell in photos.

What about under the front deck lid? Right on the white option code sticker. It should be one of the codes that we can de-code easy.

Don't think it's venetian or petrol. Venetian is lighter and has more silver in it. Petrol has a very obvious green tint. IMHO this color is actually nicer than venetian (my car is an earlier iteration of venetian called Schaefer blue).

I like the interior, it's totally period correct psychedelic euphoria. I'd keep it the way it is and just try to clean and tidy it up.

Looks like you scored a great car, enjoy it and post some more detail shots when you get a chance.

Awesome ride! That car is on my short list of wanted 911's color/non-sunroof/engine perfect - very jealous Sure you don't want to flip it?

Oh, and I'm sure you won't have a problem selling those seats over on the 928 board!
