Engine Doesn't start

'84 911 cab
It turns over, but doesn't fire up. i do get some initial fir up but doesn't ctach and run.

DME Clicks fine

a few weeks back we tested the crank sensors with a meter and they seemed fine.

Any ANY advice would be helpful

How long have you had this problem? Was a change made recently to the car? Has it been sitting for awhile? How much gas in the tank?

I would start by pulling the spark plugs and testing that you have spark. Consider that the plugs could be fouled and perhaps you should just replace them anyway now that they are out.

Next, you might think about fuel pressure or the fuel filter. If the filter hasn't been changed in a long time, I would change it.

At this point, the problem could be any number of things, so you might have to use process of elimination to get somewhere.

i just had a similar experience in my 84, turned out to be the reference mark sensors.......mine did not offer a hint of firing though

Verify you have voltage feeding the coil. could be a bad fuse connection at the ends of the fuse.

great
I have been wondering about the coil...it's the original as far as I can tell
