Default 87-89 G50 needed (NOW)

Trying to make the club race at CMP. Found a crack outerhouseing that holds the bellhousing area?? Not good. If anyone has one please advise ASAP. Willing to drive 4-6 hours from Rochester NY or work on some fast shipping method.

Thanks.. Don Ehinger

I had a cracked bellhousing in my track Alfa once. Got it heliarc'd and it was fine. I eventually found a used replacement bellhousing, but at least I was able to still use it ...for some time, actually. Not sure if this suits your comfort level, but you may want to ask around.

Actually there were two. One has the same problem as ours, and the other is sold.

The broken one was sold as well, for $1200. Darn.

Welder says Friday...

I have been hearing people say they've run later G50's in the earlier cars. That might be a solution for this one (might be enough time). Does anyone have specifics? What does it take to put a 964 C2 G50 into a 1987-1989 3.2 Carrera? I believe the starter is different, as is the sensor plate for the flywheel sensor(s). What about tunnel clearance for a six-speed? And what about the trans mount? TIA
