Jack,
you can ask but I don't know. I got it through a fellow RL'er. I think a bunch of guys had a group buy\manufacturer. This might be the place that made them. I originally tried to contact them but never got a response:
quack quack!

on your tail
I like the ducktail on just about any 911- but I do agree with the poster who said that the weight of the impact bumpers needs to be offset with something more substantial.
But then again, I've always thought that the tea tray sits too high...if it were juuuuust a bit lower.
The whalte tail? too long visually- it just sticks out of the back too far.
( this is sounding like Goldi Locks and the 3 tails! )
I like that modern version of the ducktail that was done for the 996's- it's lower and more compact- is it even possible to put that tail on the older cars?
Everyone is mixing and matching these days- I'm thinking of taking a 997 and making it into a 73' RS clone.....
....just kidding! But that is the direction these 'modern car into RS' conversions are going! ( one day there will be no 'normal' early 911's remaining as they will have all been converted to RS clones! ).
One of the mags out right now has a 993 turbo where they got rid of the wing altogether.
I want to do an ST type clone but with a ducktail. You don't often see a center fuel filler and a ducktail together.
I've yet to see anyone do a ducktail that is NOT the same color as the body- what would one look like in all black? As i posted in 'soft ducktail', i've also thought about doing a ducktail that has a soft rubber lip like the lip on the tea trays.
Continuing the styling observations- it's always kinda bugged me how the early 911 spoiler has that nice looking lower lip on the front spoiler but it has that gap in the middle- what was that for? purely styling? i've yet to see one that is continuous. And I understand the purpose of the oil cooler in the front of the RS, but that big blocky rectangle right in the middle of such a graceful spoiler was pretty ugly really- yet cool in that hardcore 'function over form' way. But it still looks like floor heater growing out of the front end.

Panzer grey- I assume you are talking about the "S" bumper used on early cars....the opening was for a tow hook....kept from bending the lower lip....Famed Porsche racer Peter Gregg used to have his fabricator fill the opening in to continue the line of the lower lip (my brother used to go to the body shop that worked on the Brumos cars in Jacksonville FL and was telling me about this the other day when we were playing with my car and looking back at some photos of one of his early 912s having some "resto work" spelled rust removal done by the same body man that worked on the Bromos cars)...The nice part about all the tails available is that it gives everybody choices about how they want their cars to look....some people like diferent styles....not everybody will agree with the style you choose....but in the end...they arent the ones paying for the modification.

My 2cents
Inever used a duck on a bumper car, but way back when on my '72 I did, the issue was always fit, I bought 3 before I found one that fit ok(not even good, just ok), maybe f/g tech. has improved over the years but nothing will fit like the stock steel deck.
A whale on the steel deck fits great. It may not be to everyones visual taste, but the fit and aero efficinccy are great.

Race Car
Just to be clear, the car I posted at the start of the thread isn't mine. It's from the Pelican BBS, and I grabbed it because I thought it was a gorgeous example of a ducktail on an impact-bumper car.
Here's my duck, on my 'lighter, more streamlined' early car.

I find that the aesthetic problem w/ the ducktail on post '73 cars has to do with the appearance of the rear bumper. the ducktail is unbalanced by the large, heavy (& IMHO) & ugly over-riders. In fact, I don't like them regardless of the wing (though the larger the wing, the less offensive they appear). So, I removed mine. The finishing touches aren't complete, but here is what it looks like now...
