Default 911 Targa Top (1973) folding arms grove worn out and brackets not holding

Hi alll
I have a 73 911 Targa and the front center of the top keeps popping up, because the groves, where the brackets hold it in place, are worn out.
Does any one has solved the same problem and how?
Do anyone makes longer brackets, like 1/4 inch longer?
Anyone has the front folding arms, in good condition for sale?
Has anyone done homemade repairs to the folding arm center groves?
Any idea is welcome

Are your talking about the indentations where the little black clips in the folding top engage with the arm? I'm surprised they would be that worn out - can you share some photos? I'm thinking there is something else out of adjustment.

I see that Lakewell sells replacement rear folding arms, but for some reason not the fronts.

Usually the default answer is to send the top to Dan Pechtel at Cars, Inc in NJ for restoration. He is likely to have spare front folding arms, and he would be able to get to the bottom of why this happened in the first place.

Nothing wrong with a DIY solution, I would definitely try that first.

Thanks. I guess I will call Dan
I have no clue of why only rear arms are available.
