Wow ,
That looks like a clean and expensive build ...
Since you're in Canada , give Jay Lloyd a call , he's in Mississauga and if anybody knows anything
about classic and top of the line Porsche builds , he's your guy.
He's been around 911's for many years and if the car was built in Ontario , i'm sure he can tell you who did the work !
That looks like it would be a fun car to drive around Mosport in one of the VARAC G70-90 classes , seems like it
would have all the ingredients to run mid to low 1:30:00's
Throw in a halo seat and a fiberglass roof and it might even be a match for Tim Sanderson and his not so stockish 911 ...

You might want to post this in the Canada section as well,i'm sure somebody's seen that car before !
All i can say is that somebody spent a ****load of money on that build , Varioram engine and the matching 6 speed G50 in a 911 chassis
is bigtime work hours and lots of $$$
Keep us posted on what you find out !

Another question is whether it is really a 'racecar' (and if so, what exactly) versus a 'track/DE car'. These are not the same thing, and each would appeal to different potential clienteles. My guess is the latter. Regardless, I agree; the cost of that build seems astronomical and almost certainly cannot be recouped in today's market.

yes it’s more of a track car.
I’m hoping I can find the shop that built it, to get more info on the entire build

I paid 7.5 K CDN about 5-6 years ago when i swapped a 95 3.6 in my 89 911, that was for the engine alone. In the end i would guess it cost me around 12K to
complete everything as i did it all myself.
Now fitting a 6 speed G50 in a 911 chassis is a lot of work from what i recall , lots of cutting and welding
as the gearbox is longer than your 87-89 five speed G50.
Cheers

no offence but that car is a mish mash of parts. being convertible and newer body style it doesn't appeal to most porsche racers or de'ers. Race cars are difficult to sell usually anyways.
the parts are expensive though and to get max value you would need to part this car, otherwise IMO it will take a long time and not get much value for the car as it stands. this is only MY opinion.
it looks like you bought it at an auction recently? that may be the best way to sell it.
if you want to know who worked on I would do a carfax to show previous owners and I would look at the ecu (under the seat)and see if it has any markings on it (sometimes inside cover of box).
Car would be fun to run on track but doesn't mean many people will reach into pockets to buy this.
Good luck whatever you decide. I suggest you track it for a season and enjoy it.

yeah I think there’s lots of money to be made parting it out over selling it as a whole. But if there’s someone who needs the parts, and just wanted the car as an added bonus , I’d give them a good package deal on everything
plan is to track it once before I sell it
