Default 15" fuchs tire size 3.2 targa 1987

I have a 1987 3.2 targa with 15" Fuchs (7 front/8 rear).

The car is fitted with 225/50 rear and 205/55 front which looks sad and empty.

I'm looking to fit 225/60 rear and 205/65 front but are not sure. Might also fit 7 mm spacers rear.

Any suggestions? Please post p

ictures of your different set ups.

Thank you!

First, nice Targa!!!! Never change the profile of the tire to a larger size, it's thows off your final drive ratio and speedometer reading! Simply lower the torsion bars as I did, and problem solved.

First, thank you! I think 60/65 profile was standard on the 15” Fuchs, but I might be wrong?

Do do you have 50/55? Can you post a picture?

they look like 16s which were originally fitted to the car as an option, they wore 205/55x16 and 225/50x16s on six inch front 7 inch rear. In 1989 they were changed to 6 in the front and 8 in the rear

Not sure about the 15s, but again, you'll change your drive ratio, etc if you change back.

Yes, don't you see my sig pic?! lol I have 16s and as other poster stated, I think you have the 16s as well, you sure??

I'd lower the car, taller tires will really sap performance

Here's mine on 17s but it didn't look all that different on the stock 15s when it was new, The only reason I went to 17s was the hot rod 993 motor in it, w/ the stock 3.0 225/50 0 & 245/45 x15 on 8 & 9 was the ticket

The accuracy of your speedo on stock tires is a joke anyway and you will hardly notice the difference on your final drive as I have on my 87 with 215/70 15's on cookies.

Cheers,
