Which Headers for a SC with a 964 engine ?
Hello,
i just purchased a SC with a 964 engine conversion but the OEM 964 headers have a collision with the 915 clutch bracket, so the converter guy reduced half of the middle tube, which is not good at all for right bank high rpms...
What are the options for headers that fit the 915 and other SC organs.
i might have to change oil lines anyway because the converter did a poor job as well, so I am open to all affordable options.

If the SSI are 1 1/2 outside diameter - outside diameter is how they are measured, they would be too small.
993 ran 1 5/8. Search William Knight on the bird. He may suggest larger. This is a cam/pistons dependent scenario.

Manu,
With a 3.6 you would need an exaust with a 1 5/8 outside diameter ... SSI's and anything 1 1/2 is too small for your engine !
I have the Fabspeed headers and two out muffler on my 3.6 conversion and all is well , but that's with a G50 ...

RosePassion answered with these sizes for SSI :
- Head side inner diameter = 35mm
- Head side outer diameter = 38mm
which I find strange since 964 heads exhaust port is 38 but I think I've asked about size for the SSI for OEM 964 engine in 964 body and it was similar. Dansk likely doesn't have an oversize tubing for this design.
- Muffler side Inner diameter = 47mm
which is between 1 6/8 and 1 7/8, so looks cool
what do you think ?
