Blaupunkt SQR 23
Mine is close to done! I can no longer play cassettes, which has also lost me the option to use the cassette insert, to plug into my iphone. I don't want to deface the dash and put in a modern unit, so what have you all been doing to fix this issue? I looked on Ebay, but mostly all of them have the cassette issue, or want to price gauge!

Consider the Continental unit pictured below (TR7412), old school look with Bluetooth capability, and < $200! Or, wait for the new old-school Blau which will hopefully coming out soon - thread about it on Pelican.

Good question, no, not an endorsement just a suggestion. I did speak with them many years ago and got a good vibe, but the car ended up going to Germany before I could send them the radio. I was just researching recently again for myself as I need my led display redone on my oem Blaupunkt. I saw a respectable feedback rating on google for them, so was just offering up the idea of the rebuild option to the op. Of course there are other options and everyone should do their own research.
I’m all ears too if there is a rennlist preferred vendor for refurbishing a vintage Blaupunkt.

I installed a refurbished Becker CDR-220. I bought it from Becker in NJ. They refurbished it and it comes with a warranty. Pretty simple install. It sounds good as well.

I used an FM modulator to decent results even in crowded LA.

Much better quality than the orig unit and I already updated the speakers, but that didn't help the unit. My orig also no longer stores stations nor plays cassettes. I'd like to stream the likes of pandora w/ my Iphone and actually use my cassettes from the 80s and 90s, but I see that's not possible.
