Default 911SC Factory Sports Seats Seem Narrow?

All,

Just purchased a new to me 1980 911SC
I've owned lot of aircooled 911's years ago and last 8 years been enjoying my 996C4S and then 997C4S

I decided to buy the 911SC due to then becoming harder to find in nice condition and also found my Silver/Black w/low miles at 112K
The 911SC has it's original Factory Sports Seats and Blue Plaid(Tartan)cloth inserts which IMO are beautiful.

I always remembered the Factory Sports Seats being narrow and I never really liked them - Some of my old 911's had them and my 997C4S had Factory Adaptive Sport Seats which were incredibly comfortable and just don;t compare to the old style which again I find very narrow.
I'm 6/1" and about 30lbs overweight bUT my lower body is narrow and thighs narrow.

Anyone else find the older sports seats uncomfortable? The softer cloth inserts have you sitting a little more "down" in the seat which could certainly be a contributing factor as opposed to the leather version which keep you a bit higher.
I bought a nice pair of original stock 911SC seats which I will install and store the sports seats.

Anyone else find there Sport Seats uncomfortable?

All I can say is those seats are sick and wish I had them. The SC sports look much more aggressive than the '84 sports and 1985-1989. Congrats

I have the sports seats in my 82 Targa and love them.

Fit is just right for my thin frame :-)

I've heard other complaints about being but I've personally always loved them.

Whatever you do , keep those sport seats ... especially since they look in excellent shape.
Regular seats are easier to come by and now you have the option !

I purchased a nice pair of stock 911sc seats in black--->Hard to find these days
Gonna swap them out and keep the original Sport Seats stored.
I also forgot to mention that getting out of the car is also more of a challenge w/these Sport Seats.
I guess I never noticed it when I was 26 back in 1986 - At 60 it takes much more effort
