Default Can this seat be repaired?

The material, Twill, is virtually impossible to find. I have been looking for more than 2 years. One seat is serviceable and the other is shabby.
This seat just came available, so, in one sense I don't have to find the Twill and find someone make the seat covers, then in the other hand, can the shabby seat be repaired?

I don't really understand your question. Can the seat be repaired? Of course, if you find a material you like. Can the (extremely) shabby material be repaired without having new material to replace it? I think not.

That's the question, can the upholsterer find matching Twill? I have not been able to, but the prof. might know someone who is not on the internet who has the fabric.
So far no luck trying to find Twill fabric let alone finding Cinnamon Twill. The goal is originality.

There are a couple of German companies that supply a huge variety of seat covering materials. I'd be very surprised if you could not get something very close to that material.

Do you know the names of the two because I may have contacted them in the past?

I think the problem you're going to have is matching new fabric to the old if you want to keep one of the seats original. That's just going to be very difficult. The other option, recovering both seats, will of course be more expensive and defeats the originality of the the acceptable seat, but gets you two matching seats. Your choice. I guess the question is how much life the good seat has in it.

That's where I am right now, finding something very close in looks and colour. If I can find that something then I will be happy because I have spent a very long time searching.
I have also thought that the early Japanese cars used material that would pass, maybe.

the existing material on the seat cannot be repaired- the foam and seat frame can be reused.

Best bet is to clean up the seat and try to get a match on material.

Also I'd give a call to bob budd at classic9 shop
or anyone else that specializes in Porsche interiors.

Budd doesn't deal with fabric, other than leather or leatherette.
I found someone who buys the material in bulk and does concourse work, but won't sell me the fabric, only a complete seat.
Boy, would I love to know who makes the fabric that I have been searching for more than 3 years, here in the US and Europe, with everyone saying it's not available.

Doesn't have the material and says: "The Twill material is really a problem.
We do not know if it makes sense for us to go for a reproduction."
