Default Atlanta classic center service

Anyone had a chance to use Atlanta classic center for service or repairs??? Talked to them and they seem pretty busy.

Of of course it’s a good chance to do the Porsche experience again.

I am not familiar but would like to know more. Is this the one that is at the PEC? How do their rates compare to other shops?

I visited and got the sense that it is for serious mechanical and cosmetic restorations rather than routine repairs.

I had a friend take a 1969 coupe there to have the Webers tuned. After two months they never could get it done and he has the car back in his garage. I heard all the "theorizing" done by the tech. He clearly didn't know Webers.

I'm glad the factory is supporting the early cars with parts; however, I don't see that the Porsche Classic Centers have the same level of expertise as my local air-cooled shop that has done 356's and 911's for 40+ years.
