Time to downsize
As my wife and I approach our 77th birthdays we have decided it is probably time to downsize the 'stuff" we have. Among this collection are the cars we have. The most logical, and also emotional one to be considered is the 1983 SC. I have owned this vehicle for over 12 years and have all the service records for the past twenty. It started life as a Euro spec Sunroof (gray market) SC. Since I have had it much has been improved. Within the last three years the car has been disassembled (doors, fenders windows, hood, trunk bumpers etc) and painted ( retained the original Grand Prix white) the stripes are under the clear coat. All new rubber was installed with the re-assembly. Also within the last 3 1/2 years the engine has been rebuilt and stroked to a 3.2 with all new parts and the engine ported, balanced and polished by a mechanic that has done this for almost forty years four of which were at the PORSCHE factory. The 915 transmission has also been rebuilt with new parts as required. A Guard limited slip is installed. The interior is lightweight RS with Recaro Pole Position seats and a welded in roll bar. The normal 19 front and 21 rear torsion bars were replaced with 21 front and 29 rear. Custom valved Bilstein shocks are installed for a firm yet comfortable ride. Adjustable roll bars front and rear.
The deck lid, front and rear bumpers are fiberglass. A custom radiator style oil cooler is in the front bumper replacing the normal trombone one behind the headlight. H4 headlights. Boxster front brake calipers and Carrera 2 rotors, An adjustable brake bias valve installed in the trunk. Lightweight battery. Two Momo steering wheels one wood and one leather. Two sets of 16" 7&8 " Fuchs wheels one polished and one RS style machine finished ( wheels were refinished about four years ago and have no dings) PORSCHE Classic radio, Shift light
I have the original rear deck lid and front and rear bumpers. I am sure there is more I just can't remember right now . Car is always kept inside and covered. Car cover included.
Asking $65,000. Will entertain reasonable offers. Price includes all accessories listed.

Old brains can't think of everything at once. I forgot to mention that the exhaust system is comprised of SSI's and a Dansk sport muffler with two tail pipes. The car has been weighed and corner balanced. With me in the car and full fluids it weighs just under 2500 lbs and on a stingy dyno it produced around 215 rear wheel horsepower. It does go and handles like a slot car.

In fact before I did it, I wrote the Brumos folks and got a nice letter back from Mr. Davis saying yes do it. Also the last time Brumos raced a 911 at COTA I led over 100 Porsches down the front straight in a parade lap for them to see. sorry to see this great racing heritage go away
