Default HAS ANYBODY SEEN THIS CAR?

Fellow Rennlisters:
I used to own this early '80's Minerva Blue 911 Targa before my ex wife left for Reno with it back in 1991. I never saw her, or the car again. Last I heard it was sold to a San Jose City College professor and I have no further history past that; roughly 1993. Perhaps I'm nostalgic but I'd like to buy the car back. It was built to look like a turbo including a widebody and a 930S front spoiler, had black interior, Recaro seats, a Momo steering wheel and BBS wheels.
I'd be extremely appreciative if anyone knowing the whereabout of it would PM me. I'm not trying to "jack it" - too old to go to jail. I do want to discover if the car might be available for me to buyback. I have forever missed the ol' gal (the car, not the ex). Thanks in advance! Harry.

Reach out to the Golden Gate chapter of PCA and the San Jose/ peninsula chapter. I'd also ask the local air cooled Porsche specialist shops in NorCal for any leads. Of course it could be in SoCal or anywhere for that matter.. Good luck

Good suggestions, thank-you. I'm pretty connected with the local indy's and know those owners personally. No one has seen the car around. Thought perhaps it might pay off to reach out more broadly. I'll ping a few PCA's though, thanks again.

Great point and funny you should ask. I planned on stopping my South Bay (SF) indy shop tomorrow who used to work on the car. He might have the records. It's pretty tall order, but...

agree..... there is mention of a wife running off. So that in itself has all you need for a hit single.

Put effort into finding the VIN. It will be easier to find the car if it is a post-'81, but the VIN helps regardless. Sending PM with more suggestions.

that's just it isn't it ... even after you find it you could really have accomplished nothing if the guy wants to keep his car.

I know I overpaid for a 74 911 I have because it matched perfectly to a car I had in my early 20s.

An emotional purchase, - but it brings back great memories of younger days. every time I drive it.
